Gravel Products for Trails and Paths
Our gravel products can be used to construct new trails and paths or to supplement existing ones.
Trail Gravel
Trail gravels are a popular choice for public trails and garden paths. They can be used in similar ways to decomposed granite. Our Trail Gravel products contain small pieces of rock with a large amount of fines. They compact well to provide sturdy, solid paths.
Top Course and Base Course
Our Top Course and Base Course are typically used in gravel driveway construction and can also be used to create trails and garden paths.
Clean Crushed Landscape Gravel
For a cleaner look, you may wish to use Clean Landscape Gravel as the top layer of your path or as a fill around pavers or stepping stones.
Keep in mind that this product has no fines to hold it in place, so edging or excavation may be necessary to prevent it from migrating outside the trail or path. A geotextile layer or base layer of gravel may also be necessary to keep the gravel from sinking into the subgrade over time.
A Seattle-based client used our ¾” Clean Country-Style Gravel on the paths throughout their French Country-style garden.
A client in Bonney Lake used our ¾” Clean Kapowsin Blue Gravel around their garden beds.
Round Patio Gravel
Round gravel like Drain Rock or Pea Gravel can be used to fill in a patio or to fill around pavers or stepping stones.
Due to their roundness and lack of fines, Drain Rock and Pea Gravel tend to shift under foot when walked on. Like Clean Landscape Gravel, edging or excavation may be required to contain the rock and prevent it from migrating outside the walkway. A geotextile layer or base layer of gravel may also be necessary to keep the gravel from sinking into the subgrade over time.
