Gravel and Backfill Products for Roads
Our crushed rock products are used to build gravel roads and bases for paved roads. We also offer products to replace poor fill soil prior to road construction.
Gravel for Roads
Top Course (5/8” Minus) and Base Course (1¼” Minus) can be used to build new gravel driveways and are used in the construction industry as base materials for paving. Like the names suggest, Base Course is typically used underneath Top Course to create interlocking layers of gravel.
Our Ballast product category includes clean versions of our roadway gravels. “Clean” means that the products contain no fines. Ballast products are typically used as base materials for roads in muddy areas. They can also be used to renew gravel surfaces.
Quarry Spalls provide a solid base for muddy roads and entrances used by heavy-duty vehicles.
Gravel for Permeable Paving
Washington Rock offers Permeable Base Course, Permeable Top Course, and Permeable Ballast for permeable paving projects. Our products can also be used for gravel grid infill and for the base materials underneath gravel grid systems.
We have experience supplying construction aggregates like chamber rock to many commercial parking lot projects with complex drainage systems. Reach out on our Contact page to get in touch with a salesperson.
Recycled Concrete Alternatives
We crush concrete imported from demolition projects and make 1¼” Minus Recycled Concrete and 2″–4″ Concrete Quarry Spalls. Some customers used these products in place of gravel made from crushed rock.
Foundation Material for Roads
Select Borrow and Foundation Material can both be used as foundational materials in areas where soil needs to be replaced before roads are constructed.
Pit Run is one of our most affordable fill options for high-volume excavation, typically on commercial projects. Pit Run contains round rock up to 8″ in diameter.
