Description

The range roads on Joint Base Lewis-McChord provide access to areas used for military training, including 115 live fire ranges. The roads run throughout the 86,000 acre base and are used by thousands of soldiers operating a variety of heavy military vehicles. Washington Rock provided materials to the Army Corps of Engineers to resurface the existing roads.

Materials

60,000 tons of 1¼” Tailings
7,000 tons of 2” x 4” Quarry Spalls

Highlights

Washington Rock was able to provide a lower cost base rock to the Army Corps of Engineers that met their tough specifications. The material we produced not only saved the Corps and taxpayers thousands of dollars but also impressed the Corps with its quality. We supplied all 60,000 tons within the short time frame given to us and continue to provide material as needed.
