Description

With South Hill continually expanding, Meridian Habitat Park added a new playground next to its amphitheater and public facility. The playground was designed to be accessible to children of all abilities. The park is adding a large dog park and benches near the playground as well as a gravel trail that winds through the wetlands area.

Materials

1,350 cubic yards of 40-60 Sand-Compost Mix for the field
900 tons of 1¼" Minus for the playground's permeable base and the trail foundation
230 tons of ¼" Trail Mix for pathways
100 tons of 5/8" Crushed Rock
30 tons of 7/8" Drain Rock

Highlights

Washington Rock's products, especially its hard-packing trail mix, helped create an accessible space.
