Utility Sand
Utility Sand
Product Description
Washed Utility Sand is a coarse sand that is washed to remove a large amount of fines (smaller particles like silt). This makes the product less dusty than unprocessed sand.
Compared to our selection of Coarse Sand products, Washed Utility Sand has a larger maximum grain size, but the overall composition runs slightly finer.
Washed Utility Sand is a non-spec product with a gradation that varies depending on the area of the pit being mined. It’s similar to Backfill for Sand Drains (8800-3), which is a state-spec product.
Product Applications
Washed Utility Sand is used for drainage projects and commercial trench or pipe bedding projects.

Helpful Tips
Our sand is a gray-brown color. We don’t sell white or black sand.
