Product Description
Streambed Sediment is a blend of coarse sand and gravel up to 2½” in diameter.
Streambed Sediment meets WSDOT Standard Specifications 9-03.11(1):
- 99–100% passing the 2½” screen
- 85–100% passing the 2″ screen
- 50–82% passing the 1″ screen
- 28–68% passing the ½” screen
- 10–20% passing the #40 screen
- 5–10% passing the #200 screen
Product Applications
Streambed Sediment is typically used in fish habitat restoration and streambed restoration. It can also be used in landscaping to create convincing dry creek beds and water features.

About Streambed Sediment
Streambed Sediment mimics the gravelly lining of rivers, creeks, streams, and other bodies of water. The U.S. EPA describes streambed sediment as “fine mineral deposits and silt located on the streambed.”

Material Spreading
Prices quoted are for material delivery only. Drivers do their best to dump material evenly when requested. However, Washington Rock cannot guarantee that this will result in an even or desirable distribution of material. Customers must supply the equipment and labor necessary to finish projects.
