- Uses. For mounding and building up areas such as lawns and gardens. Provides excellent drainage.
- Specs. Mined directly from the banks of King Creek Pit. Material over 3/8″ removed. Classified as a sandy loam, which contains a large amount of sand and a little bit of silt and clay. Meets the WSDOT Type A material specification.
- Tips. Also known as Screened Sandy Loam (1060-3). Unscreened Sandy Loam (1051-3) can be used to fill ditches more inexpensively.

- Uses. Great choice for flower beds, gardens, and new lawns that require a lower ratio of compost than Garden Mix.
- Specs. Blend of clean sandy loam and compost. Meets the planting bed soil requirement for Post Construction Soil Quality required by Pierce, King, and Thurston counties.
- Tips. Use Garden Mix (1064-3) for gardens that require more nutrients, such as vegetable gardens.
