Washington Rock Quarries is pleased to announce our 2024 scholarship winner, Orting High School senior Emilly Kneeland.
The $2,000 award was presented to Emilly by community relations manager Eve Hart at Orting High School Senior Honors & Awards Night on June 5, 2024. The award included a framed certificate and Washington Rock-branded gear. Emilly plans to work toward a degree as a veterinary technician in Fall 2024.
The Wilson, Chism, & Foster Memorial Scholarships are offered to Orting High School seniors in memory of team members J. R. Wilson, Steve A. Chism, and Randy C. Foster. These three men helped build Washington Rock Quarries into what it is today: a thriving 80-person team with two mine sites that ship materials to infrastructure projects across the country.
Congratulations, Emilly!
We invite the Orting High School Class of 2025 to apply to our scholarships next year.
