Washington Rock Quarries is pleased to announce our 2025 scholarship winners, Orting High School seniors Audrey Fries and Derek Ballard.
Community Relations manager Eve Hart presented the scholarships at Orting High School Senior Scholarships & Honors Ceremony on June 4, 2025.
The $1,000 scholarships included framed certificates and Washington Rock-branded swag.

The Wilson, Chism, & Foster Memorial Scholarships are awarded to Orting High School seniors who plan to attend technical school.
The scholarships honor the memory of team members J. R. Wilson, Steve A. Chism, and Randy C. Foster. These three individuals helped build Washington Rock Quarries into a thriving company that delivers mined rock, sand, and soil products to critical infrastructure projects in the Puget Sound region and throughout the U.S.
Congratulations, Audrey and Derek!
We invite the Orting High School Class of 2026 to apply for our scholarships next year.
