Description

This project continues decades-long efforts to remediate a Superfund site that was affected by a century's worth of industrial activity. Brice Environmental subcontracted with American Construction to install our Streambed Sediment along the shorelines of Dune Peninsula, the Tacoma Yacht Club, and Point Ruston in Ruston, Washington. The US Army Corps of Engineers and the Environmental Protection Agency coordinated the project.

Materials

4,800 tons of Streambed Sediment

Highlights

Washington Rock blended a custom streambed sediment mix for the project. We shipped material by barge via Walrath Marine's Port of Tacoma facility. Each barge load had to be prepared in time for the scheduled sailing time.
