Description

The City of Puyallup renovated the ball fields at the Puyallup Valley Sports Complex as part of a two-phase plan. The fields were converted from natural sod to synthetic turf. This will enable local sports teams to practice year-round.

The Tacoma News Tribune wrote about the importance of these ball fields to the local community. The news story includes plans for the fields.

Materials

4000 tons of Permeable Aggregate Base Course
2300 tons of Permeable Aggregate Top Course
300 tons of Infill Sand
100 tons of CSTC (5/8" Minus)
60 tons of 1¼" Minus Tailings

Highlights

Washington Rock provided both the base material for the synthetic turf as well as the infill sand that is spread on top of the turf. The gravel track on the perimeter of the fields was also created using our gravel.
