Washington Rock invites you to join us in supporting the community by donating non-perishable food to our First Annual Christmas Food Donation Competition.
Founded and hosted by our King Creek Pit scale house operator, Dustie Northey, the friendly competition between haulers is a fun and easy way to make a real difference for families and rescues in need. The company who contributes the largest volume of food/donations by weight will receive bragging rights and a spotlight on our website and social media.
What: Non-perishable food items (canned goods, dry pasta, cereal, peanut butter, etc.) as well as pet food and blankets
When: Now until December 19, 2025
Where: Drop off donations at Washington Rock’s King Creek Pit or Kapowsin Quarry scale houses from 6 AM to 4 PM on weekdays
Who: All human food donations will be heading to the Eatonville Family Agency, while all pet food donations will be heading to Gurrs and Purrs Rescue in Yelm.
The entire community wins when we work together. We encourage you to round up your teams and family to help us meet our goal of 200 LBS of food!
